The Slow Bomb was a type of weapons system used during the Sixty Minute War.
A Slow Bomb consisted of a small asteroid boosted onto earth-impact trajectories, though how this was done is unknown (theories range from rocket motors to gravity manipulation).
A number of Slow Bombs were triggered remotely by the Barefoot States in the final minutes of the Sixty Minute War and were expected to reach Earth some ten to twelve years after the exchange. These Slow Bombs destroyed Central America, separating North America and South America. A Slow Bomb strike also landed on the alps. They are likely to have been used elsewhere as well, but no further information on their use is known.
